Cold Weather Mask

Breathe Pennsylvania is offering free cold weather masks to residents within their 10-county service area of Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington and Westmoreland counties.

The breathable foam mask, developed by Breathe Pennsylvania over 30 years ago, loops over the ears and covers the mouth and nose, providing a warm pocket of air.  The cold air restricts the flow of air to and from the lungs of those suffering from respiratory illnesses, so the cold weather mask helps to warm the air before it reaches the lungs. They also can be worn outside during exercise.

Breathe Pennsylvania is urging residents who suffer respiratory conditions, such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) or asthma, to take caution while our area is encountering dangerously cold temperatures.
