In the 2023-2024 school year, 300 students went through our School Asthma Initiative (SAI), which provides asthma education to children with asthma and their families. The program also trained 7 school nurses, 26 schools, and provided nearly 300 asthma kits to those who need additional support. Over 30 school nurses were provided with back up albuterol to keep in-house in case of emergency.

Throughout 2023, Breathe PA provided financial support to 45 patients to attend Pulmonary Rehabilitation who could otherwise not afford the cost. Nearly 140 patients received direct lung health education from our staff. We also provided critical respiratory medication to nearly 90 patients.

Breathe PA provides these and other services through state and local government funding, foundation and estate support, contracts with local nonprofit organizations, and individuals donors in our community.
